Inspiration awaits everywhere, don't you think? Thank you, Amy (Kalla Walla) for pointing us to Wildlife Wonders. I loved a visit! So many interesting objects. I like they had a category to select from wildlife species as well as organized by basic categories. These orange blossom flower earrings are hard for me to resist! What's not to love about bronze, hand cast glass, and inspired by botanical drawings?
It's been a few months since I've done a room...so I ran in that direction! This gave me a chance to use a Pillow cut from a Macy's insert in our local newspaper! Probably was an ad for Mother's day. Used Katzelkraft room elements (sofa and spotlight). I dry embossed the sofa for dimension, slipped the 'my mother' pillow into the right side and paper pieced the orange pillow on the left. The floral wallpaper is from Basic Grey 'Persimmon'. The oval plaid rug grounds that cozy scene while out my window, the night sky beckons. Mr Moon is lighting the way.
Many have said save all your scraps even if you don't think you'll ever use them. The view out my window speaks to that! I had just barely the width of my window frame to work with and that lovely old moon fits right in. Stamped underneath the moon is...sprinkle moonbeams and spread dreams.
Thanks for stopping by. I'd love to hear if you eventually realized your mom, ma, mamma, mother knew everything? I was lucky, mine was not the 'I told you so' sort...I practice her strength every day!

I knew this was yours Susan as soon as I saw the sofa and window - your room is wonderful with the bright flowered wallpaper, the spotlight and the beautiful moon outside your window

Oh, what a special card. I have loved looking at each piece. Love the pillow, moon, all of it. You really know how to put a card together. Yes, my mother knew most everything and not in a bad way....should have listened. Ha

WOW I want to live in your world Susan where the walls are a massive orange floral print, a spotlight illuminates pillows with writing, and a 'Goodnight Moon" shines through the window. I love how your mind works! Fab design!

I don't think my Mom ever said 'I told you so' but she sure was a better judge of human nature than I ever was or ever will be, probably. Such a lovely room, great use of the sentiment. My Mom did know a lot of things.
