One thing I appreciate about Splitcoast is learning from others how to use my paper scraps. I guess I am a compulsive saver, but tell myself so long as I use things it is okay!
This was inspired by Toile Tidings SCRAPS? F4A558 by Pammyjo at Splitcoaststampers and various other strip-cards I have been admiring. I found several sticky papers in my stash, two by StampinUp (I used one of these). The most ingenious suggestion I came across was to use the FREE stickies that come as unsolicited address labels! Apparently you can peel these in one large piece, so maybe I will try that next time I get some.
I had lots of 1-inch scraps from an old 6x6 stack, Warmth & Cheer. After deciding not to leave spaces between my strips, I cut each of these to 1/4 x 6 inches and went to town. I do believe there are enough strips left to finish another card if I also use the yellow pieces from the stack!
I wanted to make really really sure the strips would stay attached, so I decided to dry emboss the front panel with an all over design before proceeding. I liked Pams corners, but added green rather than gold (baby steps LOL).
I have someone in mind who will love this!
