I love to thrift and often find myself combing the framed art section for frames or handmade art that is unwanted and would make a good card or mixed media project. I found this little painting of roses at Goodwill a while back and thought this would work for today's IC and Misti's flower VSN.
Here is my inspiration: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/251920172898402125/
The artwork was framed with an oval mat, I liked that look, so I cut the artwork with an oval die. The paper is interesting, kind of a chalky texture, backside of the paper is white. I don't know what the painting technique is, but it reminds me of rosemaling. The paint has a shimmer to it.
The background is one of those 'I have no idea' backgrounds, seemed to simply be gold acrylic paint on watercolor paper. I brushed the forest moss ink over it to get rid of the white. Easy peasy for me.

Super upcycling. The rose painting is gorgeous and I do love the oval.
