For several challenges: today's MIX (use something other than salt to texture watercolor); today's F4A (a hummingbird); and Lee's VSNMINI3 (a hummingbird festival). Long ago, we traveled to an old mining village in Colorado and all the buildings had tons of hummingbird feeders. They are quite territorial and there was quite a bit of jostling and fighting for space. Such a tiny bird, such energy!
I had just gotten the SU set (bought it used), so it came in very handy. I wasn't that thrilled with the rice on the watercolor so I remisted and added some tapioca. Liked it better. Thanks for the three challenges, Dina, Jeanne and Lee.

Just lovely, the gold and purple makes a gorgeous hummingbird. Tapioca...I guess that would be quite absorbent. I remember quite looking how rice came out.

Jean, this card is gorgeous! I love that bg with the fine speckles. The bird and flowers are lovely too. I was going to use that set, but the bird was too big for my purposes.
