For the teapotter challenge to case Karen's gallery (Art Deco Diva) to send cards to Mark, her dh. I chose this one: FS694 Leafy Gratitude by Art Deco Diva at Splitcoaststampers. I cut the patterned paper first with Gina Marie dies gifted to me from Karen. You cannot see them on this though but wanted to use them to line everything up and make sure it got on straight onto the base as the papers are quite thin. The trick is to lay your folded base in the corner of the Misti and then it is quite easy to get your next paper on straight.
I sponged salvaged patina on bristol and then did my diecuts. I cut one in coastal cabana c.s. and sponged it with the campfire color. I cut a decorative label in half to add on to the sides of the tasteful labels die which I had embossed in gold for the sentiment for Mark and popped up with dimensionals.
Add me to the list of friends that are missing Karen terribly. What a wonderful friend she was to so many here and a wonderful friend to me as well. I used to fantasize about going to Minnesota to meet her but never got the chance.
Karen was a talented card maker and so generous in giving her time, sharing what she had in goodies and sharing how she made a card with all the details. Love that as it is really fun to be enabled, lol..
I am heartbroken that she lost her battle with cancer but we will get to meet in heaven and what joy that will be. Miss you so much Sweet Pea!

Shirl, your card is so beautiful! Yes, I too was hoping to go to Minnesota this summer and meet Karen in person. She was such an upbeat, positive girl and always so appreciative whenever I sent her a card or a note. She was such a bright star in this world!

A beautiful card for Karen's husband, Mark. I love the name you called her, Sweet Pea. She sure was one and I really miss her.

Shirl, you put so much thought and love into this elegant tribute to sweet Karen! It's so special that you included a die in your card design that Karen had gifted you. I'm sure Mark is amazed and comforted by the outpouring of love by Karen's friends.
