Jeanne is our hostess in the Color Challenge this week, and she has given us a lovely color combo and a great dessert option: to use something new. I'll start with dessert. I get new stuff, and usually keep it around for a while, with thoughts of how to use it percolating in the back of my mind. Not this week! These stamps and dies arrived at my house two days ago, so I definitely get dessert this week! The yummy colors are Bermuda Bay (my favorite!), Calypso Coral and Pale Papaya. And I must say these two latter colors go together so beautifully!
So I looked through my paper stash, found some papers that I liked, and proceeded to die cut some cardstock. Not sure what colors I wanted where, I now have quite a few extras that didn't make the cut this time! I can remember my old turquoise Princess phone, and while this one isn't that style (it's even older!), I went with the Bermuda Bay for my phone, with the other colors as decorative elements.
I want to say that I used--also for the first time!--a new Shader Brush from Waffle Flower, and I do love the small tip, which was perfect for adding shading to my phone with some Bermuda Bay ink.
This card is going in the mail, so no added bling this week.

So cute! Love the die-cut telephone. How fun that it reminded you of your own princess phone. Love the polka-dot paper and the script in the background. Terrific use of the challenge colors! Great card.

this is really a cute card- love the "vintage" phone and you worked the colors well on the phone image- ha- I still have a turquoise princess phone in the closet. Not sure why I never got rid of it (LOL)!!!
