I needed a birthday card for my turning-7 years old niece who likes penguins, and I had already dug up an old Imaginisce stamp and created a âParty Like a Penguinâ sentiment. Then I was looking through the fun Inspiration challenge tshirt site and found this one:
And decided to put the party penguin on a surfboard! I covered a white card base with some very old Karen Foster surfing paper. I stamped the penguin on a scrap of white cardstock, colored with markers, and cut out. For the background I found some blue paper that matched the color of the inspiration shirt. I used the SU wave die to cut a partial wave from some of the Waves of the Ocean DSP and glued the wave to the background. I freehand cut a surfboard shape from a scrap of the same paper showing the other side, glued the penguin to it, and attached both to the background paper with foam tape. I used a rectangle die to cut the background to size and layered it onto a larger piece of the orange side of the DSP (same as surfboard) and attached that to the card front with more foam tape. I glued my printed out sentiment inside and stamped the âHappy Birthdayâ from the Waves set. Hope my niece likes it!
USEIT2022- both the stamp and the Karen Foster paper date back at least ten years! And on the other hand Iâm using items from the Waves suite that I impulse bought a couple of months ago so yay me!

That's so cute! If I can think of who to send the card to, I'm going to lift this one for sure because (would you believe) I actually have a stamp with a penguin on a surfboard!
