My family owned a cottage on a lake near Green Bay and so did my friend Ann's family. I've known Ann since we were very young and when she would come up to Pine Lake to stay with her Grandma or her Aunt Mabel and Uncle Charlie, we would have the best time. We did it all....swimming, fishing, boating, exploring, play games on rainy days, and some general silliness. Those were such good times. When my parents bought our place, there was an old mobile home on the property and that was our playhouse.
Ann and I didn't look like these lovely ladies but I think of Ann when I think of good times at the lake. The background is from my stash; I think it's alcohol ink gel print. I added some clear glitter pen to their tops and some of my favorite Nuvo Drops (again!! I never would have thought I'd use pink so much). The sunrises at the lake often looked a lot like the colors. It was hard to sleep in at the lake because the crows always made such a ruckus early in the morning.

Oh, what a great stamp and super great memories - we used to camp 4 weeks a summer and then all summer with my father commuting up on weekends - and we would see several friends coming back every year there - so wonderful to spend the summer days in the lake and on the beach!

Wonderful card and backstory! The image makes me laugh, though...pretty sure if my BFF and I were standing on the back bench of a rowboat we would find ourselves in the water a second later!
