It's always very much fun to re-visit a technique which one has forgotten about. I'm all about techniques and mixed media. I used the embossed kisses technique for a swap recently and was hoping the colors for today would be suitable for that so I could do the technique again. Thanks, Mary, for making that happen. Here is the tutorial if interested: Embossed Kisses Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers
This is also for today's tea party for Karen's (art deco diva) husband Mark. Karen was an example to all of us...grace and 'sass' under awful circumstances. She always said that she would get her 'sass' back after treatments or surgery or whatever was going on. She lived with cancer, as best as she could. I never met her but I sure wish I had. This is Karen's card (one of her dirty girl entries) that influenced me: CT0919 Framed Floral Greetings by Art Deco Diva at Splitcoaststampers
As far as the CC goes, I used a lacy ef and the evening evergreen ink, just smearing it on the raised side. I cut some fun foam rectangles and used them as stamps, covered with the fresh freesia ink. The dark green looks great on top of the light pink (the top panel is a secondary stamping, much lighter. The sentiment is embossed in white on a polished pink panel, done with reinker and water. I cut some flowers and leaves using the poppy dies from SU out of vellum and colored them with the green and lighter pink. Finally added some of my favorite Nuvo Drops.

Yes, Karen always cheered me up when she said she had her sass back. The last time she told me that was in December. I miss her so much. I love your card and hers....both beautiful.

I love the layers on this and the pretty vellum leaves and flowers (I need to use vellum more). I agree with what you said about Karen...an inspiration to all of us.

What a beautiful design, simply gorgeous. Karen would have loved this beauty and I'm sure her husband Mark will appreciate it. Your technique used here was a perfect one in creating this outstanding beauty of a card. TFS
