Mary is our hostess in the Color Challenge this week, and she has given us some beautiful colors that are perfect for a spring card: Fresh Freesia, Evening Evergreen, Polished Pink. The dessert option is Vellum.
This card is CASEd from a recent online class I took, demo'ed by GinaK herself. The daisy in the center is colored via a stencil. The first layer is Fresh Freesia, very lightly brushed on. The second layer is Fresh Freesia again, but heavily applied. The third layer is Polished Pink. I love the variegated effect the colors give to the daisy. The leaves are two layers, both Evening Evergreen. First one very, very lightly applied, second layer full strength. These were die cut, along with the "forever" greeting from Evening Evergreen cardstock. The shadow layer for the word was cut from Vellum. "Friend" was white embossed and die cut.
I assembled the layers and added a few sequins, and it was done! This card will go to a friend for her birthday.
I hope you will enjoy working with these colors; we'd love to see your creation in the gallery this week!
