This week's Featured Stamper, Kittie (aka Kittie747), is renowned for her gorgeous 3D floral cards and she often features white prominently on many of them. Her cards have inspired me to try die cut flowers so I now own a few sets. While Kittie's flowers are elegant and sculpted, mine are casual and not so layered. I'm still wading into this die cut flower thing. So, to honor Kittie, I wanted to try my hand at a white floral card.
After I die cut and assembled the flowers, I tried several backgrounds before landing on this diamond plaid. Most of the others were too busy and distracted from the flowers. I thought I still needed some separation between the bg and the die cuts. My intent was to glue them to acetate for some stability and then fussy cut the acetate around the blooms and pop them up with foam tape. But after I saw the panel against the bg, I decided to skip those last steps and just glue the entire acetate panel to the bg. It seemed to give enough separation to help the flowers stand out. Unfortunately, the acetate panel was a bit short. So, I incorporate that into the design by stamping my sentiment onto the card base; cutting the acetate panel shorter and then popping the panel up with three additional layers of heavy cs. Not an elegant card like Kittie's creations, but I think it's rather fun with these whimsical flowers.
Congratulations Kittie. As so many have said this week, not only are your cards inspirational, you are a treasure here on SCS. Thank you for all your time, work and participation making SCS such a wonderful, supportive and happy place. And, I hope everyone is enjoying their happy place today. TFL.

Fabulous look Debbie. I have been thinking of attempting something white on white. So I am faving. Love the ef you placed your pretty blooms on! This is so gorgeous!
Debbie, this is a GORGEOUS card! You created such a beautiful arrangement of flowers and foliage. Using the all white images against the white background makes this card so elegant. I sure do love the Spellbinders dies you used and you definitely did the set justice. XOXO
Wow, this is gorgeous Debbie! I love all of the layers to your floral pattern and how you paired that with the embossed piece. A happy accident with your layer being short. I LOVE that part of your design, too.
