For today's Mix Challenge A Fine Line - we are to use fine lines parallel or perpendicular and two kinds of mixed media. Hopefully these lines are considered parallel although some curve??!!
I just got this wonderful stamp from Stampscapes called Winters Wind - it actually comes in a set of 3 different designs of faces in the wind.
And I immediately thought I'd try using it for this challenge with all the swirly lines!
I stamped the image on watercolor paper with Obsidian Ink, dried it with my heat tool and then water colored the different sections with different colors.
Then I splattered it with a black POSCA pen - and of course a splatter went right on the eye (note to self, block off the face when you splatter it next time!)
So I tried to remove the black which just smudged it so I added a drop of Liquid Pearls which may have made her look a little CREEPY???
I colored in the back section of her hair and her shoulders with a N10 Copic and watercolored with watery gray around the outside edges.
The sentiment is a Small Talk Sticker
I'm happy with my first use of this wonderful stamp - thanks for the inspiring challenge Polly!

Your lines are absolutely parallel in a curvy, arty way...I would expect nothing less from an "arty" stamper That stamp is really cool and I love how you've got each section a different color. Fantastic card and I get ya on the splattering...sometimes the splatters have a mind of their own!

Oh, I love this image! A very clever way to add the lines for Polly's challenge!

So unusual and cool, Julia, I love that stamp and how you colored and embellished her. The sentiment is perfect too. Hugz
