Polly's Ways to Use it Challenge involves the word "mason." Masons are bricklayers, so I started by stenciling a brick wall. After layering the wall on blue cardstock, I stamped some long grass or weeds along the bottom edge. To create a scene, I used two die-cut cats. To give the cats some personality, I sketched some stripes on one and turned the other into an orange tuxedo cat, applying a little white-out in strategic places. This is a birthday card for my brother, who once adopted a couple of alley cats.

Cute..I really like how you added the extras to the cats to give them personality. Good job on that grass...I can never get something like that so thin ...it's perfect.

I think brick walls and cats are a great combo - I just sent a card I had made with them to my nephew for his birthday. Your cat on the wall is so like my dad's last cat. I agree with Polly, you did a great job turning them from die-cuts into cats with character.

Love the cats you added to the stenciled brick wall. The grass does a great job of grounding the whole!
