For Today's IC challenge we are looking at Party Swizzle web site and pinterest board.
A friend asked me to make a balloon pop up card for one of her granddaughters so I was looking for balloon inspiration and found this.
A friend sent me an Easter card with a pop up vase of flowers inside - so I took the vase apart and made a template to create this basket to hold my balloons!
the heart balloons are attached to the front insides of the basket and the oval balloons are adhered to the card behind the basket - two are popped up on foam dots.
I really wanted to use purple and teal like my inspiration but couldn't find anything with those colors in the thousands of pieces of DP I have in my craft room ??!!
I used die cut shiplap pieces from The Greetery to ground the vase.
I'm going to personalize it with the birthday girls name and age. but that can wait for another day - it took me ALL DAY to get this together!

You are so clever to engineer your own template, Julia. You did a fabulous job. I love the colors on this bright, happy birthday pop up. Your friend's granddaughter will love it!
