So totally not the season, but I was making a set of cards for my mother to send her grandchildren throughout the year, and holiday cards for children are just so much fun to make no matter the time of year.
I used scraps for everything but the red panel and card base. The kraft paper had been embossed with a stencil for another project, but I had put it aside because the impression was not deep enough for what I had intended, but it adds just enough suggestion of fur here. All the elements except the circle nose and oval muzzle were cut by hand, loosely following a coloring book page. I added the sunglasses because one grandchild lives in Florida.
