I decided to use this squirrel stamp for yesterday's WCW. It's interesting how invasive species cross over the pond, usually because some rich people just have to own a gray squirrel or a starling, or some other bird. That's how it all started back in the 19th century when rich men got interested in collecting.
The tail on the stamp is rather wimpy so I jazzed it up a bit, you can still sort of see it because it is heat embossed. Silly me. I didn't fuss too much with him. Watercolored the acorns at the bottom. I thought he needed a perch to sit on so his tail can dangle so I found a twig. This is also for yesterday's sketch. Thanks for the challenges. PS we have red squirrels around here. They are smaller than gray squirrels and maybe a little more mean.

I like that sentiment for your red squirrel. And, I like the stick. I didn't use a stick as the painter did for an outline. Your acorns look great. We do not have any red squirrels in my area that I know about. Good job on the challenge.

Quite the card, and the tail is impressive. I love the watercolor and twig!

Your sentiment gave me a giggle. I love the twig perch for him, too. I just had a squirrel (gray) climbing right up my diningroom window as I ate my dinner tonight. Only when I stood up and walked to the window did he get down and run down the porch. The larger tail actually seems to be a bettere size tail for the stamp. Very cut squirrel.
