This card is going out to birdwatcher Ralph, who turns 94 on May 11th! I die cut the nest and sentiment. Stamped the birds, colored with watercolor pencils and fussy cut. I traced around the edges of the cut images to give a clean black edge line. I tried to position the birds so it looks like they are holding the sentiment in their beaks.

It does indeed look as if the birds are holding the sentiment in front of the nest. Fantastic fussy-cutting. I really do think it pays off, I know die-cuts are easy especially for people with hand issues, but not having a white edge makes a big difference, especially over a patterned background like this.

Beautiful birds and beautiful dp. I love the blues you used and the shading. Great job on the fussy cutting too. It looks like they are feathering their nest with good wishes for Ralphs' big day. What a clever idea. Great card and I imagine Ralph will enjoy it immensely.
