I knew it was just a matter of time before we were challenged to draw & paint a furry animal . . . and that's what today's video was all about.
I googled pictures of Red Squirrels and set about sketching my furry critter. I will freely admit it took me some time and a lot of erasures to get the shape I wanted. As promised by the video artist, painting was easier than drawing although I did use a black sharpie at the end to add back a few of the details rather than a twig . . . BTW How did he decide that it was a #12 stick ? ? ? lol (Inquiring minds want to know!)

Love your beautiful sketched squirrel, and the greenery, you know what, I even didn't notice there was a sample to use for sketch, so don't ask me about the twigs size lol

Love your sense of humor....Kia did give us an animal challenge. All the artists are rocking it. Especially the three of you who hand sketched your own squirrels. Love your guy and his rich colors and details. The eye is so well done along with the greenery. The sentiment is perfect for this image. I would love to pick up Ann and we could go to Texas and have lunch with you.. In my fantasy world. Fav'd

Super work once again. I love your squirrel and his shape. The bushy tail is great. I started with a stick and quickly knew I wanted a fineline pen instead. I want to travel to see you with the others. I have been to El Paso before many years ago.
