I used today's colors to make a card for our tea party recipient, Ralph, who will be 94 on May 11 and is having health issues.
I used a couple of masks that I'd already cut with dies to mask the outer edge of the card so I had a rectangle in the center and then a circle mask. I used the circle to sponge the three colors, randomly moving the circle around and sponging outward. I also cut the wonky squares twice and sponged the top one with the colors. My SU demo had given me a bag of scraps and in that bag I found the little birdhouse and bird. Ralph likes to watch the birds so this seemed perfect. The birdhouse was a dark blue but not NON so I sponged that. The bird was a light blue, I coated him with white Gesso and then sponged two colors on him. I masked the edges of the main panel and sponged those. I like to challenge myself with doing more CAS on occasion.

Love how you created this with the masking, blending, etc. Love all the variegated inking. It's gorgeous. Love your creativity in changing the colors of your "scraps", especially taking the bird from light blue to brightly colored. Awesome card.

Beautifully designed layout! Your wonky squares and sponging look wonderful! It's great that you had that sweet birdhouse and bird just for this occasion!

Jean, I am so intrigued by your beautiful masked background. It's even more impressive to know it came from masking scraps. I've popped this card into my faves so I can give it a try sometime soon! You are very inventive with the way you changed the colors on the other elements! Love this!

The most artistic card in the gallery. Love it. The sponging looks amazing, and your design is delightful. Thanks for the tip on using the gesso. I like the border you created with the different colors. Fav'd
