The Tea Party Challenge this week is all about Teapots and Cup - so lets get on with the Party. Bring out the best China.
The background panel used for this card is made using water colour paints. I used wide double sided tape when cutting out the die . It is a very intricate die and it took me a lot of time picking out all the little bits - in fact I am still picking little bits of cream card still stuck to my clothes - he he. Anyway it makes the perfect lacy table cloth for my collection of china cups. Coloured the cups with water colour pencils. Framed the image and added a sentiment.
Hope you enjoy.

LOL, yes, those little bits of card just get everywhere, don't they. But not quite as bad as glitter, and it does make the perfect lacy traycloth background for your antique china. Extra cookies with those pastel colours.

I would love to own these pretty cups!! beautiful coloring and love the pretty framing with the lacy "tablecloth" die cut, I never use tape behind such dies, usually I glue them directly with liquid glue or very small double side tape, I can imagine how you've been patient!!

I love that die cut but...I know what you mean about those intricate ones. It's the perfect backdrop for those lovely tea cups. They're all so pretty....I would love to have a choice of those for my daily tea. Great card Helen!

This takes me straight back to childhood and tea at my grandmother's house. Always the requisite lace tablecloth and one of a kind teacups and saucers at each place setting. This is lovely and I am certainly partial to those shade of purple & blue - (Same colors as the shirt I'm wearing today - lol)

Such a pretty stack of teacups, Helen and the color value is quite interesting. Sets those purples so well! Darkroom adopt has great images. That bg die-cut cool even if fiddly, smile!
