Weâre singing a song for todayâs challenge. A fun challenge that I always enjoy. I even have a âsong lyricâ keyword to search in my Color My Life app. And I had A LOT of fun choices this morning. I needed a couple of birthday cards, so I decided to go with this awful Kool and the Gang song that is now stuck deep in my head. Iâm going to need to browse the gallery to find another song to stick there.
To make two cards, I stamped the birthday noisemakers all over one piece of cardstock and cut it in halfâone for each card. The Power Poppy stamp does say âCelebrate good times,â but I wanted to die cut the celebrate. However, I realized that I donât have a celebrate die, but Iâve always liked the âcelebrateâ design that come in the ScanNCut. I cut the word and numbers in both black and white thinking that I was going to have white letters with black shadows, but black letters with white shadows proved to be the better option. Finished off with some Stickles to really make it a celebration.

What a fun birthday card especially for someone turning 85..wow! I'm singing that song now. I like the big greeting and number done in the white and black....it really shows off.

Adorable but not girly...love the fun fun party you created on this card. And, yes, WOW for 85! Congrats to your recipient.
I once saw this comic and I have been waiting to use it on a card. Two birds sitting on separate branches. The bird on the upper left branch goes "chirp". The bird on the lower right branch says in a thought bubble, "Great, now I'll have that song in my head all day". CHIRP! Did it help? LOL.

Love the card, but had to laugh because at 85 things do come on, the things you don't want come too fast, and the things you do want take their own sweet time.

Those offset numbers and letters really pop .... your hand-stamped and colored background looks great!

Well, you'll have no problems picking up a different earworm as you move through the gallery. I like the soft muted colours you used for the noisemakers - quite a contrast to the noise they make. And the added sparkle is super fun.

Fun card based on that terrible song! If it becomes an earworm, I'll find some way to get you back!!!
