Lisa is our Teapot Tuesday hostess. We are sending cards of encouragement to Tricia. Lisa challenged us to create a card using one of our favorite card making techniques. I love to stamp my own backgrounds and I love the ink-resist technique, so I used those techniques on this card for Tricia.
Using blending brushes I lightly brushed on some Turquoise and Grape ink on my white panel and heat set the ink. Then I stamped several images with Versamark, clear embossed and heat set them. I then stamped more images in Versamark, white embossed and heat set those. I used the blending brushes again to heavily add more Turquoise and Grape inks over the embossed images. I used a paper towel to wipe off any inks sitting on top of the embossed images. Lastly, I stamped the butterfly and the grouping of tiny blossoms with Versamark and embossed with Pewter embossing powder.
I matted the finished panel with aqua and purple cardstock. I stamped and fussy cut the flower embellishment and die cut the leaves from glimmer cardstock. I added Wink of Stella to the flower. The sentiment was stamped and embossed with pewter embossing powder on vellum cardstock.
Thank you, Lisa, for hosting. LeAnn, I hope your friend, Tricia, is greatly uplifted by all the Teapotter cards coming her way.

simply beautiful. When I started out with embossing powders, I only had gold and every time I see gold embossed images it takes me back 20+ years ago to the beginning of my card ministry. Great colors, and you did a fantastic job with the vellum.

Such a beautiful card and a lovely color combo. I forget to use vellum more. It looks so great on this card.

Totally love the ink resist technique and this is no exception of how beautiful the technique can be. This is a great design I'm sure Tricia will treasure. Thank you for participating in this week's teapot challenge on Tricia's behalf. All the work you put into creating this beauty is appreciated.
