I changed the stamped bird image for die cut birds. I added texture to my circle feature with the SU Needlepoint Elements Die. I changed my card from a Mother's Day card to an anniversary card.
I embossed the large panel with the Painted Texture Folder. With Cinnamon Cider ink, I stamped a background on the narrow vertical panel. I stamped a pattern on cream cardstock with Pistachio ink and die cut both the leaf and the sentiment panel from the patterned cardstock. The sentiment is embossed with copper powder. The birds were diecut from copper cardstock.
Thank you, Julie, for hosting. Wendy, you have a very inspiring gallery! Congratulations for being selected as our Featured Stamper!

Rita, I love how you took a somewhat feminine card and turned it into a card that has a definite masculine flair (although any lady would equally enjoy this). I love copper tones and I can imagine how great this must look IRL with the copper papers and ep. I really enjoy the stamping on the strip, leaves and sentiment panel. I think that adds such interest and texture. Seems fitting to have two birds here since it's an anniversary card and those are sweet die cuts. Wonderful way to celebrate a special day. Great card.

Thank you for sharing this gorgeous card. The metallic cardstock gives this a very different feel. I have a love/hate relationship with the original stamp set because I presented this set at one of Stampin' Up!'s OnStage events, and made SO MANY different projects with it. I really like your different take on the original card.
Rita, this is such a lovely case of Wendy's card. I love your color combination and all the interesting patterns and elements. I especially love the large bird and the pretty foliage branch layered behind it.

Fabulous copper birds and sentiment. There are so many lovely elements to this card from that great ef to the gorgeous rose stamping you did on that strip. I always wish I had been able to snatch up those needlepoint elements dies. Love the interest it gives your circle. This is such a sweet anniversary card, Rita!

Beautiful case. Love the die-cut birds in the copper. Must look amazing in person. Fabulous texture with the embossing and die-cut leaves. Great card for an anniversary couple.
