This panel is for the Alpha challenge V= Victorian.
My motivation to create has been zilch but when I saw the challenge I knew I had lots of Victorian emphera and stickers and could come up with something.
As it is spring in the Northern hemisphere and it is one of my favourite seasons I chose to create a panel for my journal. When I was younger I loved Springtime. During May we would have pole dancing and a May queen would be chosen in our village. Sadly those traditions are no longer but I loved the festivities. My sister was May queen one year.
So that is where my page took me. To relive that tradition. The lace doily was in a parcel given to me by a friend whose mother had passed. It reminds me of doilies that my grandmother used to have.
The envelope and border were die cut. The BG is paper out of the Victorian sticker book. I was not happy with the yellow CS so used gesso and various inks to try and age it. Unfortunately the yellow was the wrong choice but it was too late to change direction. Next time I would do it differently.
I have lots of emphera and it was hard to stop adding. The good part is my mojo is returning.
TFL. Happy day

simply beautiful! and the yellow is perfect, IMHO (in my humble opinion)! : ) Yellow is a very victorian color and you left just the perfect amount. I think this is GORGEOUS in every way and the story is wonderful too. Many of the simple occasions we enjoyed as kids, have faded away, sadly. SO INSPIRING to me and i will Favorite it, so that someday I can CASE it and I promise to link this when I do. Take good care and thanks for starting my day with encouragement to get my mojo happening too. Teresa

Fabulous V panel, Jayne! So glad your mojo is returning! I lost mine last week, too. Hoping I get some going this week. That heart on the gentleman's buttocks is accented so well with the flower and bit of red peeking out of the lace! Perfection!

I love how all of the elements just came together on your card. This is an eye-catcher. Love the images, but mostly the texture you have created with the lace and layering of your different elements. Beautifully put together. Glad your Mojo came knocking. Mine left and didn't leave any contact info for me.
