Scene building cards take a lot longer to make, but the results are worth it! This stamp set includes all of the elements used to build this scene, and even more that I didn't get to use here. It has critter and nature elements that can be used year round.
I cut the purple cardstock and the gingham paper with the Oval Burst die, which gave me the negative oval piece in the gingham to inlay as the center, preventing extra bulk.
It is hard to tell in the photo but the bunnies are a cream color to contrast with the white fence.
I used a craft knife to cut out the solid parts between the slats in the fence, since the die did not cut between the slats and only the outline of the image. This makes the fence look more realistic with the background showing between the slats.
I can't believe I got the tiny sentiment inside the fence board. Since it is red rubber, I used a stamp positioner and stamped many times on a clear transparency sheet to get the exact placement. I still held my breath when stamping for real, since any goof meant scrapping the whole fence piece with the upside down bunny, which was already colored and cut.
