This is my sample for the Color Challenge. Our hostess this week is Jeanne; she selected beautiful colors: Pretty Peacock, Rococo Rose, So Saffron with Just Jade for dessert.
This month I am focusing on stamp sets that will be retiring soon. This particular stamp in the Beautiful Moments set worked out nicely with the colors for an outdoor scene. The image was heat embossed in black on watercolor paper. Using my Water Painter brushes, I wet the area where I planned to apply color and then picked up ink on my brush and lightly tapped the areas to let the ink flow around. I guided it in several areas (such as her dress) and other spots I let it bleed beyond (flowers). The sky is a wash of Pretty Peacock. After it was all dry, I stamped the birds.
Then, I die-cut the top panel and So Saffron matt with stitched rectangle dies. I attached a strip of Rococo Rose DSP on the white card base along with Just Jade die-cut stems. The main panel was popped up on fun foam. Finished off with a few Pretty Peacock faceted dots. No sentiment on the front this time.
Such lovely colors to create with. I cannot wait to see the gallery this week. Hope you join in!

I love this dreamy image and especially the sky effect you created. The addition of the few springs of foliage add so much interest to an already pretty card!
