Our Milwaukee Repertory Theater is presenting Titanic-the musical, opening last week. I will be attending May 5. I did not even know there was a musical but it won the Tony award in 1997. I'm excited to see it; I've seen a few videos of rehearsal. Huge cast, large set, beautiful score, focuses on immigration and class. Many of the people in the show represent real people on the ship. The great granddaughter of a survivor works for the Rep so she's heard the stories for years. And we have a survivor buried in a local cemetery, the one where my family is buried.
I went a different direction, deciding to use an old SU wood mounted stamp of a rose, in honor of Rose in the movie. Rose is loosely based on an artist by the name of Beatrice Wood. Wood was a very 'ahead of her time' woman. The quote is by a survivor who was 7 at the time. She had a lot of nightmares afterward so, when she got older, she purposely decided to travel on cruise ships to fight those nightmares. It worked!

Your rose is beautiful and I sure hope you enjoy Titanic, the musical. Eva is braver than I would ever be to get on another ship. Of course, her quote is right, though.

Love your outside the box take on this challenge! Esspecially the quote from the Titanic survivor. I always learn something from your write-ups, Jean. So fun!
