I created this card inspired by the bunnies in the March 29, 2022, Teapot Tuesdays challenge. The bunny on the one teapot lid especially inspired me, and I took color cues from the frosting on the bunny cookies photo. I thought it was perfect that the bunny in this image is holding flowers, & flowers featured in 2 of the inspiration photos.
To begin, I created a blank "canvas" in Photoshop to the size in the sketch. I added my bunny image (from "Bunny Love") & greeting (from "Bunny Wabbit") to the canvas, and printed it onto a piece of watercolor paper. I used my watercolors to paint the flowers & add some light shading to the bunny. I added pink to his ears & nose, and a little to give him rosy cheeks. After the paint dried, I went over his eyes with a black glaze pen. I hit that with my heat tool to dry the ink, and then added the catchlights back in with a white gel pen.
I die cut a scrap of green patterned paper from my stash into 2 strips for the grass, & glued those to the bottom of my main panel.
I matted a panel of pink floral "Vintage Bliss" paper with yellow, and adhered that to my white card base. I cut the banner from a scrap of the "Watercolor" patterned paper, and matted it with teal cardstock. I had to make the banner a bit shorter than in the sketch, & moved it up to the top edge of the mat layer, rather than even with the patterned paper layer, to keep it from covering the greeting.
