I am hosting this weekâs Clean and Simple Challenge and weâre commemorating the 110th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic with boats or nautical cards. I had this cute Cat Ships Captain digi from Craftin Desert Divas waiting on my to do list. Craftin Desert Divas closed in 2019 and I bought a ton of stamps and digis. Two and a half years later, Iâm still trying to get around to using them all. To keep this card CAS, I just printed the digi kind of small and masked it to sponge a bit of Broken China sky behind him.
The sentiment is created using Amastery Hand font duo that I downloaded from fontbundles.net. Sometimes I get a little stumped as to how to finish off my CAS cards. I didnât want it to just be a one layer card, but should I matte it on colored paper on a white card base? Just die cut and put on a colored card base? I can never decide. Thatâs when the store bought printed card bases the Iâve picked up from The Christmas Tree Shop come in handy. I found two card bases that I liked with the cat image. I was pretty excited about the star background for my card inspired by The Titanic which was operated by the White Star Line. But I really like the way the gingham looks. The color coordinates so well with the cat, donât you think?
You can see both cards and save a copy of the sentiment on my blog: The Stamping Actuary

Oh my, this is just too, too adorable. How fortunate you were to get all those stamps from the store closing.
