Ok, so I panicked at first when I saw this week's Watercolor Wednesday Challenge just because I can't get things straight. Oh, my, three eggs in a row would have taken me absolutely forever to align and I didn't have forever this week. So instead, I drew just one egg.
As far as I know, I have only two rather large egg stamps so I took one of them. Stamped it on copy paper, cut it out, and used it as my template. He still has a slightly wonky shape so I stuck him in the corner! I absolutely adore the way the colors worked together. The speckles are so pretty. I looked up eggs and this is pretty close to a Black Bird egg.
I used 100% cotton paper because a friend gifted me a package of high-quality paper! Her kindness made my month and changed my perspective on papers. Life is too short to use the cheap stuff. This egg was a dream to paint!
Here is the video:
I have this card blogged HERE. The sentiment is from a super cute new kit that I have pictured on the post.
Thanks for looking!

So lovely, Angie with your painting and framing. Love how you picked up the pink from the egg for the frame. Happy to hear you are loving your new paper. Fav'd TFS

LOL Angie... I highly doubt your claim of being unable to get things straight. (Can any of us get things perfectly straight?! hehe), but I LOVE what you did here to put one big, bright, and cheerful egg on display! Beautifully done!

So very pretty Angela. The pink framing shows off your egg wonderfully. So happy to hear you have had the chance to work with quality paper, which I found makes a big difference. Happy for you.

I love your speckled egg against the pink frame!! Beautiful job.
Straight is no longer in my vocabulary. I used to be able to eyeball everything. Now I think is straight and it’s not.
