And as you can see I did a pretty much direct lift aside from using different embellishments for the center of the flower and the corners, adding a sentiment, and leaving off stitching. I loved Krisâ layout and wanted something similar.
Iâve been interested in trying the dahlia folding technique for some time and Krisâ card was the sign that today was the day! To keep it easy I chose one piece of double sided pattern paper from a K&Co pad and used it for nearly all of the card layers. The Splitcoast video for the technique was very helpful and easy to follow and I was quite happy with my flower! I finished the middle with a medium sized olive green brad.
I layered some rectangles of the paper onto a sage green card and glued on the flower. I stamped the sentiment on a strip of olive paper in black ink and attached, and finished with the teardrop gems in all four corners.
USEIT2022: All of the supplies used are several years old at least! Though I have gotten a lot of use from those Hero Arts smaller sentiments, this was the very first time I used this particular one.
Congrats to Kristine, enjoy your special week!

Fabulous case! You did a great job recreating that flower fold - looks like it might require some patience and ability to follow intricate directions. Beautiful card!

Love your dahlia fold and looks as if you nailed KristineB's card. Pretty colors, also.
