I had fun combining the two challenges for today-butterflies and checkerboard floor. Check out both the CAS and TLC today; there is a very good tutorial for the floor. Thanks to Misti and Sabrina!
I'm not big on doing scenes but the floor technique seemed to require it. I looked through the stamps that I haven't used yet and decided I better get at the Anita Jeram stamps soon. I normally wouldn't buy something so cute but I love her books and this art related set called to me. The white mouse named....um, Millie, I think, is painting the floor in her bedroom, not quite finished yet. She had already done the wall with the hanging flowers and butterflies. She is making sure her brush bristles are still good, although well used.

A well-used brush? When it comes to watercolour, I love it when I feel I can indulge in some new ones. Even the good ones don't last forever. In my last job we had product training from Winsor & Newton, and one of the things we covered was brushes, so after that I usually get the best I can afford. That stencil is absolutely fabulous paired with the butterflies.
Scene? I reckoned you could just plop almost any figure down on the floor and it would work, but I'm glad you created this little scene for Millie.
