I went with the original book, rather than photography, definition of vignette as a decorative corner, coming from the same linguistic root as vine. I decided I wanted to keep the card clean rather than also try sponging in a colour fade from the edge. But I did do a bit of rock and roll to add deeper colour round the edge of my oval gel plate. I stamped the script directly onto the masked oval, so as not to reverse it, but I stamped Off the Grid onto the plate and transferred that to the card so it's a bit softer. I used modelling paste and a stencil, then sprinkled with Cosmic Shimmer Polished Silk glitter, so taking a photo has been near-impossible. I then added the two stamped corners.

Hey, Sabrina! Love the gorgeous background you created to backdrop your fern...ferns are a favourite of mine. I have some in my Amazon cart to add to the ones I already have. I just need to push the order button, LOL. Sorry to hear of your BIL and the journey ahead of him. I’m sure your card will let him know your heart is alongside him, and keep it light at the same time. Sometimes knowing the person well helps us discern which cards will be well received with their temperament and sensitivity. Discerning is also a big part of how we create. It’s always a breath of fresh air to come in and see you here. Thanks, and hugs to you.

I’m so happy about the vignette choice you used! I love how this card turned out! Oh the love of ferns. I have such fun memories of them in the front yard of my childhood home. Thanks for bringing that back to me.
