Last night I got my watercolors out to play a little with yesterday's watercolor challenge. I decided to use my Crayola watercolors this time and I'm always amazed at how well they do.
I followed the steps in the tutorial though I cut my painter's tape to get some narrower trees. The tree on the left is the full width of the tape.
This was a fun challenge to try. I just used a scrap piece of watercolor paper intending to cut it down afterwards and make a card but my youngest (she's 1 really wanted this one; she asked me to sign it and give it to her.
Thanks, Brenda, for the fun challenge! And thanks for looking!

Terrific painting with the masking technique. How fun that your daughter wanted it. Like the signature. Happy that you joined the challenge this week. Hope to see you do it again. TFS

Ooh, it's a beauty. I like that you did some slim trees and crossed them. I did that on some of mine. I couldn't stop making them. Your trees, sky, and all of it is awesome. So glad you joined us and hope you'll return next week. What a sweet daughter to want your card signed and given to her.

Beautiful! I can see why she'd want to have this for her own. Your Crayola wc do work well...I have kind of a hodge podge mix of wc and I think they look just as good as the more expensive ones.

Lovely and vibrant! Great job! So nice that your daughter wanted it. Over the years I would often find little 'practice paintings' and sketches my Mom had done and ask her if I could keep them - she would scoff and ask why I would possibly want to keep them when she was going to toss them out but they are all precious to me. She can no longer paint due to her Parkinson's Disease so they are extra special to me now.
