Sometimes I feel like pulling out stamps and inks and doing simple stamping. That time was today. Super duper sketch today! Love it! I combined the sketch with yesterday's tea party for Brian. I decided to do a calming, forest-oriented card for Brian, since it sounds like he likes exploring. The Winslow Homer postage stamp at the bottom is a nod to Brian's ties to New England, being from Rhode Island. Winslow Homer was a prolific 19th century American painter from Boston.

I never would have thought of this. I think I'm afraid of so much white space, but this is just beautiful in its simplicity. Love the mushrooms, always love fern leaves and the real stamp is another thing I never considered! I'm learning so much from this group.

Super card. Love all the forest images and the sentiments you chose. I think the Forest is the best place to restore your soul. Another great stamp on another great card.

Thanks for linking that video, Jean! How funny that you remembered seeing that story so recently. Isn't it so fun! I go to Block Island for a day at the end of the summer almost every year with my family. But we don't hike the trails, so I won't be finding a float. Love this collage with the hiking and the sailing. Such a cool postage stamp. Brian will love this!
