This card is going out to Brian, who has spent summers on Block Island and could use some paper hugs. I have happy memories of sailing to Block Island for a race weekend with my father many years ago. I found an image of the nautical map for Block Island, printed it out and cut it into circles to suggest glass floats. I sponged some Bashful Blue around the edge of the circles and added an acetate circle for each "float" to make them look more like glass.

Fantastic design for Brian .... I feel sure he will love those very creative and unique glass floats featuring the nautical maps of Block Island!

Really neat look, Faith. The circular tags are like mini worlds which have come together to make a whole cohesive universe. The die cut bg has the illusion of bright sun rays warming your whole card.

How creative. Love the way you used the map to create the floats along with the acetate. And that twine finishes it so that it looks very much like a float might. I imagine seeing the shapes and the map will bring many happy memories to Brian. It is most certainly a warm paper hug. Wonderful card.
