I've used acrylic paints, stamped over with stazon and used a white posca marker for the drawings, I cut off 2 small strips from the sides and glued them back to make the owl's stand on.
I'm ready to go to my daughter for a week so don't know if I'll be able to comment

A great design and love how you worked those owls into it.

Gosh, you got a great layered effect with the acrylic. And I think the effect of the two offcut strips added back as perches for the owls is just super.
