LeAnn is our hostess this week with a really fun color challenge calling for Pool Party, Real Red and Petal Pink. Dessert is flowers.
Red & pale blue were the colors in both my mom's kitchen in the '60's and my daughter's kitchen which still has elements of it's 1940's kitchen. Even my first home had cupboards that were painted bright red on the inside. So I definitely had vintage kitchen on my mind as I played around with this challenge.
There's just a tiny bit of Petal Pink - I stamped the spoon with Crumb Cake on Petal Pink cardstock.
I added the flowers with the Butterflies & Flowers decorative mask.
I'm so curious to see what other themes come up with these colors. Hopefully you will play along!

There certainly is a nostalgic air about this card, Chris! I love the stencil you used for the background, love how you cleverly got in the petal pink, and adore the greeting!

I love the bit of tied twine to complete the theme. Such a fun card, Chris, and fun hearing about the kitchen!!

Chris you are amazing... you would have never known the background was a mask. I've got to get mine out and use them. I've also not used this stamp set, great inspiration here. I enjoyed the read on your family's vintage kitchens, I wish I could see them IRL. TFS

Truly a sweet, sweet card with that message, Chris. The bowl, spoon, and whisk are perfect. Lovely stenciling or DP(I can't determine which) make a wonderful bg.
