Maybe it is a stretch to use this for CAS681 where we were to use zoo animals, but I have seen some beautiful butterfly houses at zoos.
This also works for the MISTI Monday challenge for March where we were to make a card for an obscure holiday. This qualifies for National Learn About Butterflies Day, March 14.
One card was stamped, embossed, colored with Versamarker and Pearlex, sealed with hairspray and then stamped again before being fussy cut. It is mounted on brilliant blue.
The other was stamped on metallic paper, embossed and fussy cut. The background blue on that one is also metallic though the metallic paper on the butterfly or background does not show up well in the picture.
Both butterflies are adhered only in the body and the wings are slightly raised.
Thanks for looking!

Actually it is not a stretch to use butterflies. I went to a butterfly exhibit at our local zoo many years ago. It was amazing. Gorgeous butterflies and I love the colors.

I think it's wonderfully creative to use the butterflies for the zoo. I agree that butterflies are a great zoo exhibit. Wouldn't these blue ones be amazing!
