Our teaparty this one is a two-for-one special...in late January, John lost Marion, his wife of 50+ years, after a quick bout of advanced aggressive cancers. He seems to be adjusting and is doing as well as can be expected. John and Marion's daughter, Michele, happens to be my best friend of 30 years. She was very close to her mother and obviously misses her terribly. Our teaparty this week is for both John and Michele. Just a little surprise happiness to bring them some warm thoughts. They both have always loved the cards I've sent over the years and it was actually Michele who introduced me to the world of cardmaking (I reluctantly agreed to go to a Stampin' Up! workshop many years ago). Ha!
This is my card for Michele. Lisa challenged us with a tic-tac-toe board...I used the center horizontal row for my card: Blue, Wild Space, and Flowers. My brain kept reading the center square as "wild flowers" so I combine with "wild" from that square and the flowers from the far right square and created my own space. LOL. One of Michele's favorite flowers are tulips. Hope you'll join us for tea...everyone is welcome and encouraged to play along.

What a fantastic card! Love everything about it...the quilt-looking pattern paper background, the bold and lovely colors, your unusual and clever vase filled with beautiful flowers, and your little red dotted gems. Just a gorgeous combination of crafty colors and elements!

Beautiful in every detail - the lovely quilted paper, the floral display, the combination of colours with the tulips and blue. I read wild space as a wild outdoor space until Lisa clarified it for me!
