Our teaparty this one is a two-for-one special...in late January, John lost Marion, his wife of 50+ years, after a quick bout of advanced aggressive cancers. He seems to be adjusting and is doing as well as can be expected. John and Marion's daughter, Michele, happens to be my best friend of 30 years. She was very close to her mother and obviously misses her terribly. Our teaparty this week is for both John and Michele. Just a little surprise happiness to bring them some warm thoughts. They both have always loved the cards I've sent over the years and it was actually Michele who introduced me to the world of cardmaking (I reluctantly agreed to go to a Stampin' Up! workshop many years ago). Ha!
This is my card for John. Lisa challenged us with a tic-tac-toe board...I used the first vertical row for my card: Circle (the sun), Blue, and Dimensional. I had fun coloring and creating this little scene. Hope you'll join us for tea...everyone is welcome and encouraged to play along.

Adorable. I love all the patterns you used on this. The combine in such a happy, friendly look. Love that big sentiment die too. And all of that is perfect for your fun, relaxing camping scene -- sitting on the beach with your favorite book and drink. Awesome fun.

I bet this brings a big smilie to your friend's father's face! I love the sweet little scene and that Mr. Raccoon is camping somewhere tropical and warm. The coordinating papers are nice for a man and I really love that big die cut greeting!

I just love this card for John! Your coordination of patterned paper and colored images is outstanding! This will surely warm his heart and make him think of warm summer days to come.
