Congrats to Deb, our featured stamper of the week! I chose this card here Paraside Palms Beachy Ocean Birthday by dcmauch at Splitcoaststampers because I love how she added this cut out circle to the bottom of her card. Teacher Appreciation Week is coming up May 2-6 and I plan on making my godchild who is in her first year of teaching kindergarten a card or two for the week. I would love to do one for every day that week but with the mail being like it is, I cannot be sure she would get them one at a time. So we will just see how many I get made. Maybe I will put them all in 1 big envelope and she can open one per day? Now that is an idea!! For my card, I used this old set from Stamping Bella and for the book she is holding, I got a Mickey Mouse image online as she is a huge Disney lover. I also paper pieced her dress in tiny Minnie Mouse. The rest is watercolored. I went around the edge of the white cardstock in Pixie Dust Catherine Pooler ink as I had a tiny smudge when I got all done and I had to cover it up with something. LOL It matched the cardstock perfectly. I am just about 80% healed from my thumb surgery from 7 weeks ago and I am shocked I can watercolor this soon. I still cannot color with my copics (holding a pen is much harder) but I prefer to watercolor anyway. I am just so excited to be stamping again!!

Glad to hear the thumb is healing! Great card - love how you replaced the lines of the palm trees with your sweet book images. How sweet of you to make these cards for your Godchild. I spent several years as an assistant in kindergarten - and know what a challenge it can be. I can only guess how much more challenging it is these days.

Well, I'm sure Mrs. Goddard will be giving you an A+ for this delight. I LOVE all the personalization, from the great lettering to the addition of the Disney characters on the book and dress. Awesome job.

What a creative approach to the inspiration piece! This darling card will delight her, and I like your idea of sending multiples to be opened one-a-day. Happy healing!

Sherri, this is a great case of Deb's card. What a perfect card for a teacher. I love how you mimicked the palm tree with the tall girl and stack of books.
