Mary is hosting our color challenge this week with a particularly cheerful combination. Right away I thought daffodils and decided to combine them with dessert which is designer paper. I used kind of a peek-a-boo circle in the background to cover the Highland Heather. It sort of has a paper pieced or applique look so I decided it would make a great Mother's Day card since my mom is a quilter.

Yes, Chris, we did have a similar (mirror-image) design in mind this week! I love the way you created your circle with a special little arc in a slightly darker shade. It really adds interest! I love that you cut your daffodil, butterfly and stems/leaves from DS paper! Very creative!

My friend, you always come up with the best ideas! The flowers cut out of dsp are beautiful and a great way to fulfill your dessert option! Your mom is going to love this beauty! TFS
