I have another friend and cardmaking buddy whose birthday is in mid-February, so yet another card is needed. I was in the mood for flowers, so I thought I'd look for some Splitcoaststamper challenges to get me started.
While in my E - F stamp box back in January, I ran across a wonderful flower stamp set, Field Flowers, that I had used for its flourish in the past but not the flower. I pulled it just in case I found that I could use it in the near future. After finding the SCS Inspiration Challenge, I was delighted to know that this stamp set would work.
I continued to search for other possible challenges to use and guide the evolution of my card, which gave me a total of 15 possible challenges to use. Keeping these challenge in mind as I created my card, the 15 challenges are listed below!
1) AOCC22 - All Occasion Card Challenge/ February 2022. An ongoing/monthly challenge encourages you to set goals ahead for each month to help you complete and mail your cards more timely! This is a much needed birthday card for a friend & cardmaking buddy for February.
2) USEIT2022 - Use It Challenge/ February 2022. An ongoing/ annual challenge that requires you to use OLD/ DUSTY and long unused items and/or OLD/NEW items purchased, never used, and seemingly forgotten! OLD/ DUSTY: 2011--2013 retirees: stamps--Field Flowers, Elements of Style; Cardstocks--Always Artichoke, Lucky Limeade, Tempting Turquoise; Ink--Lucky Limeade; Scallop Trim Border punch; 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon--Gumball Green.
3) MSP52 - MISTI Monday Challenge/ December to Remember - 12/6/21. Challenge: choose any 2021 challenge you'd like to repeat. I'm going for May's Tiny Texture, which allows you to add texture paste, an embossing folder, embossing powder, or anything that makes texture. I'm using white heat embossing. I love the effect of the textured white silhouette created with this technique.
4) F4A604 - Free 4 All Challenge/ Double Trouble - 9/17/21. Challenge: feature double of something...2 critters, 2-word sentiment, 2 flowers, etc. I have 2 flowers.
5) CAS648 - Clean & Simple Challenge/ White Emboss - 7/26/21. I've heat embossed my blooms in white.
6) IC764 - Inspiration Challenge/ Hygge & West - 7/25/20. I found this inspiration flower pattern and colors to inspire my card: Cascade Meadow Wallpaper!
7) WORD0720 - Fan Club Monthly Theme--July 2020/ Rain or Shine! - 7/15/20. My card meets the theme interpretation with butterflies: Look up...be inspired by things in the sky...clouds, sun, rainbows, bird, butterflies, airplanes, etc. My card is for the theme's WORD Challenge = DROP. My first letters elements are: D=distressing, dimensional; R=ribbon, rhinestones, rectangle, rubber stamps; O=Old Olive ink, overlay, over-the-edge stamping; P=punch.
CC792 - Color Challenge/ Granny's Looking in the Shadows of the Cabana - 5/19/20. Dessert: Circle. Though my cardstock colors are not those listed, through my ink shading and blending, the colors required evolved, plus I added two neutrals.
9) FS687 - Featured Stamper Challenge/ She is so Wise (aka sharonwisely...Sharon) - 4/5/20. Sharon has a lovely gallery that I thoroughly enjoyed browsing with my coffee in hand! I've chosen these tags to CASE for my card: Stitched Flower Tag Books! I kept flower theme and colors; changed tag to a card; and added the neutral Sahara Sand framed mat layer, a ribbon knot, tiny metallic gems, and white embossed my flowers.
10) ABC10Q23 - Alphabet Challenge/ Letter Q - 1/30/20. My Letter Q = Queen Sophia Marigolds. My card hosts a white silhouette of the Queen Sophia Marigolds. (I did not go for the optional Double Challenge).
11) MIX362 - Mix-ability Challenge/ Go Towards The White - 1/3/20. My background is sponged and ink distressed with two white embossed Queen Sophia marigolds as the focal point. Mediums: dye-based stamping ink/ edge distressing, white embossing powder, computer ink (inside verse).
12) S2S19L - Stamp 2 Save (aka Stamp 2 Support One Another)/ The Inside Counts - 3/28/19. A monthly challenge originally to make cards to earn credit to purchase more stamping products, but evolved into a place to fulfill one monthly challenge, while making friends and supporting one another. Challenge...make your card inside as fun as the outside. My inside has the same framing as the outside of the card surrounding the personalized verse composed by me.
13) MMTPT525 - Teapot Challenge/ There's No Place Like Home - 8/14/18. Theme: birthday/housewarming for 85-YO birthday. My card imagine's the wonderful garden in her new home. As I'm very late to the party, my card will be a birthday card for a dear friend & cardmaking buddy.

Carlene, this card is stunning. The background is beautifully done in cool colours and the white embossed flowers pop forward so spendidly. The white butterflies make a nice finishing touch.
