This paper quilt is going out to Joyce who just lost her husband. Her favorite colors are pink and lime green, but I took the liberty of going with a mint green as it looked better with the pink papers and ink I wanted to use. I don't make many square cards, mostly because I have to make an envelope now, but the more I worked on this, is became clear that it needed to be square. I stamped the words on Very Vanilla and cut them into 1 inch squares; the DSP was also cut into 1 inch squares and then halved diagonally. Ran the quilted square through a Tufted 3D EF and then mounted it with the lace around the edges and added the pink bow.

This is one of my favorite patch designs and you made it look fabulous with your colors and patterns. I love that you stamped so many supportive and loving words onto the "quilt". And that ef looks like quilting. I agree with Penny, that lace edging is the best. Beautiful card and I'm sure a keepsake for a quilter like Joyce.

That is so soft and pretty, and very comforting with the words on your DP. Yes, it's hard to get patchwork to work as well on a rectangle, though I'm sure it can be done. I'm always glad that there's no surcharge on square cards here.
You did a fantastic job with the lace - I tried and quit.

I don’t make many square cards because of the extra postage, but sometimes a square card is the only way to go. This is just lovely! Beautiful quilt and I love the lace border.
