The saga of the teacher valentines continues. Yesterday's snow day meant I didn't really have to finish the teacher valentines. But I was half-way done when Desmond told me he needed one for his student teacher too, because he loves both of his teachers equally. So, back to the Twisted Card tutorial. I did better this time around because even though I still couldn't be bothered to watch the video, Snietje gave me a good tip about unfolding the card to figure out how to cut the DP. I had the perfect DP for these colors and paired it up with this cute mermaid that was staring at me because I just used her this weekend. You'll be happy to know that both my kids went off to school this morning with all of their valentines in their bags. Except for the one that Raleigh sprung on me at the last minute for his teacher's assistant. I meant to go find a suitable card to give to her, but in the chaos of packing lunches and backpacks, I forgot. You can't win 'em all.

Jen, I love the card, love the story almost as much! It's always a pleasure to study your creations and learn something new. I love the mermaid's hair--such pretty highlights. You're right--perfect DS paper! Adorable card!

You're a great mom, very cute story about the teacher's assistant! Unfortunately, we can't win them all but it's all in the effort and intent that matters! Your design here is adorable and staged so beautifully on the ocean! Super sweet design, I'm sure she loved receiving it!
