I was looking for papers in the inspiration photo flower colors when I came across the rusty aqua and vanilla corrugated metal paper in a Colorbok pad of industrial/grunge kinda papers and kind of veered off with the one paper. I die cut five flowers from the darker and lighter parts of the pattern paper, and smaller flowers for the centers out of the opposite shades, and glued the flowers together. I cut a curved border on a piece of the pattern paper (canât see it much because I used it as a guide to place the flowers) and attached the paper to the bottom two thirds of a vanilla card. I attached the flowers along the border, cutting off the overhanging bits and popping up every other flower with foam tape. I stamped the sentiment and added orange glitter dots to the flower centers.
I landed on a color about midway between the green and blue of the original photo and kept the sort of flow of the line of flowers. This was an excellent challenge, Iâm following that board and I sure appreciate a whole new source of non-papercraft inspiration for my Pinterest perusing!
For the Free for all Friday I obviously went with flowers in the hearts or flowers theme.
USEIT2022- that industrial grunge pattern paper pad is a couple of years old and hasnât seen nearly enough use! I made lots of smaller die cuts and punchies from the pieces leftover from this card so it will be showing up again soon! The birthday sentiments set is new to me, a recent Ebay score that I used for the first time here. Those glitter dots have been hiding in my embellishment hoard too long tooâ¦I really like them!
Thanks for looking!

Isn't it funny how paper and ink can have a mind of their own and our visions take a path we hadn't envisioned - but sometimes we have to listen to the paper and ink. This is a fun 'urban grunge' meets 'spring flowers' creation. Way to use up some of the stash. I need to root through my embellishment stash too!
