One of the pair of cards Lydia uploaded for the TLC challenge this week (TLC885 ~ Split Circles ~ {02/07/2022} by Cook22 at Splitcoaststampers) made me think that the technique might work for a bird. It will - just needs a little more refining, and last night I was so tired I could barely see. But now I have my idea on record to come back to - and, I do think it's my first Christmas card of the year which is really bad.
I went for colours that would be sort of robin-like and used up some long-hoarded papers. Free-handed the tail and beak (sticking a sprig of foliage in), and the legs are actually the roof bars from a car. Edged with a green marker because I was too tired to add a matting layer.

So very cute, Sabrina, and a really creative use of split circles. I like that it is a Christmas card that still has both a fall and spring feel...a card for all seasons. Kind of like my local craft stores. There was not a holiday or winter themed item in sight before, during, or after the winter holidays. I think everything was sitting in cargo ships off the ports on Los angeles and Long Beach. Now the stores are jamed full of Christmas decorations when I am in a spring mood.

Love this - I don't think it needs a lot of refining as I could tell from the wee gallery thumbnail that this was a little robin. I have faved it to one of my Pinterest boards as our family is all about the robins - all year round. Thanks for sharing your sweet little bird.
(And thanks for even noticing I had dropped off the map for a while. We had a window of good weather and my Mom was quite stable, so we zipped south to Arizona to retrieve our things and sell our little snowbird nest. Then home to watch the grands as their babysitter found a M-F job. Busy times.)
