MIX472 = 10 Year Challenge - CASE one of your own cards from 10 years ago. I chose this snowflake card from my 2012 gallery.
I kept a similar colour scheme and the idea of snowflakes with a sentiment. The 2012 card had a piece of dp as the background and some die cut snowflakes. The new card is much more mixed media.
I started by laying a snowflake mask down on mixed media cs and sprayed with various blue, grey, and silver sprays. Once that was dry, I laid a snowflake stencil over it and used a glittery paste through it. Trimmed it, popped it up on fun foam, die cut "thanks" in black and its shadow die in white, and stamped "just a note of" on a scrap of white cs.
I don't do a lot of mixed media so this is quite outside of my usual style but I'm really happy with the results. I'm giving it to my neighbours who did all my snow shovelling for me during our recent snowfalls (for health reasons, I'm not allowed to do any snow shovelling).

That is absolutely beautiful. I smiled to see it, because one of my possible card inspirations was swirling snowflakes on a similar background. But I couldn't have made anything as pretty as this with the combination of mask and sparkling stencilling.

Oh, so pretty. Love the background and those glittery snowflakes. Shadowed sentiments are something else I like.
