My first "birthentine' card ever will be sent to help an 80 year young Jay to celebrate this year. I chose this Unity stamp set - first because it's never seen ink and secondly because this owl make me think of a wise professor and Jay used to be a math teacher.
I decided to keep this fairly simple die cutting heart from both burgundy & red cardstock. I arranged those bits and pieces to partially frame the stamped owl which had been colored with Prismacolor pencils. Pretty easy today so that I could get this in the mail as soon as I got home from work.

What a fun and colorful owl. Those glasses definitely make him look professorial and his fun feathers kinda remind me of a PHD robe. Great fun and I'm sure Jay will think so too.
And, omigosh, broken pipes? What else can go wrong. I hope it warms up in part of the country soon. Big hugs.

How perfect for a past math teacher. I love your owl and the hearts, too. Wonderful sentiment for Jay.

Great idea to feature that cute owl to celebrate Jay's 40 years as a math teacher! Love the sentiment you chose, too!

I like your two colors of reds for the hearts and that is a perfect sentiment. That owl is very stylish looking with the little presents perched beside him!
